Quick Preface
Those who know me, know that I could never claim to be perfect, or even close to perfect. However, I do believe in God. I do believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and I have accepted and acknowledge Him as my savior.
Does God Care?
On my way in to work this morning I was in dire need of a tissue. My nose was running so bad and I could not find anything to use to blow it. I got to a point where I figured it was a lost cause searching and went on with my drive. Then out of the corner of my eye I could see a tissue in the passenger seat. Now, I don’t know if it was there before and I overlooked it, or something divine happened. But I can tell you this, I believe God sweats the small stuff, and I was able to blow my nose. To some, Christians and non-Christians alike, would find this to be shear lunacy. But in my experience, God is in everything. I’m not talking the way Yoda explains that ‘The Force’ is, “in the rock, the tree, etc.” No, I believe my God, creator of the universe, has a hand in even the small things. I am not a prayer warrior. I once was and want to attain that level of intimacy with my Lord once again, but I’m a crazy man when it comes to what I believe God listens to; basically everything. I pray for my car keys to be found when they’re lost, I pray for the nations to be saved, I pray for our government, and I even pray for a decent parking space.
So what do you think? Is your system of core beliefs such that you think that the omnipotent creator of all cares if you need a tissue, or do you simply think the clock was wound and what happens, happens? I’m in the former category of believers. However, don’t be confused into thinking that I think God answers all of my prayers, because I don’t. Let me explain. If I had a loved one in the hospital dying of cancer or something terrible, and I prayed for their healing, I believe it can happen. But my prayers are subject to the will of God, which means, if it’s that person’s time to go then no prayer can change that unless God wills it. I believe in miracles, because I’ve seen them. I’ve seen people in my own church who had one limb shorter than the other pray and see it grow to equal the other limb. That’s just one example. Basically, I believe in a world beyond what I can see, smell, taste, or touch. A certain species of frog has a vision that only sees shadows and shapes. To this frog, the world is based on the movement of shadow and light. This is what he knows. But we, humans, know that there is much more to the world besides black and white shadows. There is a whole world of color, texture, and so on. The frog doesn’t know this, but we do. So who’s to say that there isn’t a world beyond what we can see?
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -Ephesians 6:12
The world is much more than we can see. I believe it. And if you don’t, then I would love to talk. I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. That’s not my job. But I do believe my job is to be a messenger, and the message at hand is that I believe God is in everything. So the next time you need something and you think it’s too trivial for the Lord, give it a test and ask Him for what you believe you need.

I agree 100% but it sure is nice to be reminded sometimes how great our God is and how much he loves us. I have kind of moved away from involving Him in the little things of everyday life but thank you for the reminder. I use to invite him to ride to school with me in the passenger seat every morning and my days seemed to go so much better then. I can see I am about to gain a passenger again for my morning (and evening) comute.
Thanks again
God is good….All The Time

We think alike! I also believe that way and correspondingly believe that the enemy engages some of the smallest things to district us from what God has for us. The ancient celts made everything in life that happened a springboard for prayer. In other words - if they saw a chair, they would say that God causes them to sit with Him in heavely places - if they saw a flower they would say that God is the fragrance of spring to them - they saw God in everything and believed that they were in the environment that God wanted them to be in, they just had to look for him in it. Cool stuff - I like it!

I feel absolutely the same way man. Why wouldn’t He be in everything that happens?? What…are His abilities so limited that He is too busy and can’t get around to it?? I don’t believe that for a second. LOL. And yeah, I definitely believe that all prayers are subject to the will of God…if it’s His will or something to happen and it happens to go against what we are praying for, pretty sure He’s gonna go with whatever He wants to do. I really love that God cares about me enough to pay attention to the little things in my life…and that He cares about me enough to love me despite all of the mistakes that I make. Thank You!!
